Summary: A highly-regarded attorney in the Memphis area was arrested for the aggravated rape of his ex-girlfriend.
A well-known Memphis lawyer Arthur Earl Horne III was arrested for aggravated rape and aggravated assault. The 46-year-old was arrested by the Memphis Police Department after receiving a 911 call a few days before from his ex-girlfriend.
The victim called the police to report that Horne had beaten her and raped her during a verbal argument that turned physical. The claims that the two were in her home when he threw her to the ground and punched her several times in the face while strangling her. Horne then went on to rape the victim. She told police that she received injuries to her neck, arms, and face. Horne’s ex-girlfriend was taken to the Rape Crisis Center for treatment.
Horne’s practice website states that he graduated from Germantown High School and has been practicing law for several years in the Mid-South. He has worked in a range of practice areas including civil litigation, specifically with a “concentration on personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, business litigation, Federal and State Criminal defense and class action.”
